Any avid traveler would have a passion for visiting places that feed both his brain and heart. This place in the Indian peninsula where we are about to take a virtual trip is renowned for its flowery gardens and towering technology, which rightly serves the purpose.

Bangalore, renamed Bengaluru in 2014, is the capital of Karnataka, one of India’s Southern states. It ranks among one of India’s leading hi-tech towns with astounding industrial and technological development. The city is located at an elevation of about 3000 feet from sea level and hence offers a uniform pleasant climate all year round.

It is also the third most populous city in the country and has many nicknames like the garden city, the silicon valley of India, IT capital of India, electronic city, the city of nightlife, etc. attributing to its admirable features.

I would suggest you take a trip around this town and be privileged to visit one of the greenest cities in India.

Lal Bagh, Bangalore

What’s a garden city, without a garden!

I would like to take you now to one of India’s oldest gardens that stays green with pleasure, awesome, and attractive.

The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden which is a 45 minutes drive away from the main city, is not only exclusive for its flowers but also its historical significance.

This enchanting place has been made a reality by the ancient rulers of the place, Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan, who have made strenuous efforts in importing plants and trees from various other countries thereby enhancing the beauty of this garden.

You are certain to feel the bliss that surrounds the place amidst the exotic flowers and the sweet melody of various rare species of birds chirping in your ears! The place is always open for tourists, however, it is at its best when it is winter there, during December, January, and February.

The chief attraction of this spot is the Green House which is made of glass and iron, deriving inspiration from the Crystal Palace, London. The most popular flower show of the area is conducted in the Glass House twice a year, which exhibits some rare varieties of plants and flowers at a magnificent level. Besides, there is a 3000 years old rock in the center of the garden, a gigantic flower clock wholly made of plants and flowers.

The Lal Bagh lake runs very close to the garden and provides access to fun opportunities like boating, shopping from the local shops, etc.
