Blue Lagoon Iceland

Iceland

A destination that every nature lover must visit, Iceland has one of the most unique landscapes on the planet. Despite being a small island country, Iceland offers such a diverse nature from snow and ice to volcanoes, hot springs, and waterfalls.

While Reykjavik is the starting point of an Iceland trip, it deserves a few days to wander around. The city has an amazing cafe and art culture. Other than sightseeing and spending time at cafes and pubs, you can join a whale-watching tour from Reykjavik.

Go to the Blue Lagoon which is a geothermal spa with turquoise color. If you are on a budget, Mývatn Nature Baths is a great alternative to the Blue Lagoon since the hot spring has the same milky blue color. It is also more relaxing.

See the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon in Iceland and hop in the boat to see the glaciers closer. Go to Vatnajökull National Park and explore the stunning ice caves during winter.

Another amazing park, Myrdalsjökull Glacier Park is a must-see place because of its Maelifell Volcano along with other volcanoes, ice caves, and glaciers.

Check out the geysers and waterfalls in Iceland as they can be found all around the country. While Strokkur is the most popular geyser in the country, you can discover many other geysers in Haukadalur. And get ready to fall in love with the waterfalls such as Dettifoss, Seljalandsfoss, Godafoss, Svartifoss, and Skogafoss.

Exploring black sand beaches is also a popular attraction in the country. The best black sand beaches in Iceland are Reynisfjara, Solheimasandur, Stokksnes, and Diamond Beach.

Last but not least, watch the Northern Lights. If you are visiting Iceland between September and April, you are lucky because it is the perfect time to see the lights. No doubt, it will become one of the most rewarding and special experiences of your lifetime.
