Cyprus, from archaeological sights to exotic beaches and parties

Cyprus has everything you need for an ideal location for your next vacation. Its exotic beaches have become well known throughout the globe, people travel from all over the world to visit Cyprus’s archaeological sights and party in Agia Napa. It’s easy to say that Cyprus has everything that is needed to satisfy everyone’s needs and preferences and create an adventure of a lifetime. Let’s get started on all the best you can find, in each city.

Nicosia, Cyprus


Nicosia is the capital of the island and is filled with a rich history. There are so many places to visit but the first place you should go to start your journey is at the Cyprus Museum. The Museum is filled with archaeological findings from B.C. till modern history. It will give you a great insight into the history of the island and prepare you for the rest of your journey.

Ledra Street, Cyprus

Once you finish learning more about the history of the island, you can make your way to Ledra Street. It is Nicosia’s main shopping street and untouched historical buildings that tell their own stories. In the 1950s the Cypriot rebels attacked the British Military and they have since given the attack the name “Murder Mile”. Walking towards the end of the strip you will come across the Turkish-Cypriot border, where a new world begins.

For the best view of the city, go and visit Shacolas Tower Museum and Observatory. Learn all about the history of Nicosia including the Venetian walls that surround the center of the city and admire looking over the entire city.

Larnaca, Cyprus


Explore Larnaca’s Finikoudes, which is the city’s most famous road. It is filled with Palm Trees, restaurants and is right by the sea, which allows you to go for a swim and then have a wonderful dinner overlooking the beach.

Around the area of Finikoudes is also the famous Saint Lazarus Church, where Lazarus, after being resurrected, came to Larnaca and lived for 30 years becoming Bishop of Kition and was buried inside the church. His tomb is underneath the church and thousands of people visit the church yearly.

Another historical, religious site is the Muslim mosque, Hala Sultan Tekke, which holds an important place in Islamic History, as it honors Umm Haram. Larnaca has so many more archaeological sites to witness and explore such as the medieval castle, which is right by Finikoudes beach.

You cannot go to Limassol and not visit the Ancient Kourion. It is one of the island’s biggest and greatest archaeological sites; it goes back to the Neolithic age and has a beautiful theatre, with a capacity to fit 3,500 people that was built during the 2nd century. It overlooks the wonderful Mediterranean Sea which gives visitors a view of a lifetime.

Limassol Marina, Cyprus

For a more summer vibe, visit the island’s biggest Marina, which is also nicknamed the cosmopolitan hub due to its luxurious cruises, restaurants, and high-end shops where you could go to relax after a long day of site-seeing and swimming. For a hot night out, Limassol is well known for its summer night parties at the Guaba Beach Bar where people drink, have fun, and dance the night away.

Paphos, Cyprus


Last but not least we have Paphos, one of the most beautiful and untouched parts of Cyprus. Start your journey with historical walks through the Tomb of the Kings and The House of Dionysus and witness the beautiful history that surrounds the island.

Aphrodite’s Rock, Cyprus

Continue your adventures by visiting the number one tourist sight in Paphos, Aphrodite’s Rock. Legend has it that the Goddess of beauty and love was born on a big rock in the Mediterranean Sea and that rock is in Paphos. You could also visit Aphrodite’s waterfall, a beautiful path through the jungle that leads to a breath-taking waterfall that will remain in your memory forever.

Lara Beach, Cyprus

For a more relaxed vacation, you can visit one of the many stunning beaches like Lara Beach or the most famous spot for a nice swim, at Coral Bay. For dinner, you could walk by the Coral Bay strip where there are many restaurants and bars to enjoy a lovely Mediterranean meal or you could go to Paphos Coastal Boardwalk and sit right next to the sea while enjoying a lovely and romantic meal.

Cyprus is one of the most beautiful Islands in the world, don’t waste any more time. Book your flight and enjoy the best the island can offer and make more unforgettable memories with your loved ones.
