From dynamic nightlife to amazing beaches to delicious food, traveling in Spain is all about enjoying life. Once you experience Spain, you’ll want to visit every single island, city, and town in this country, as they all offer many cultural and fun things to do.

Barcelona has been Europe’s favorite destination for a long time now. Spend the day by taking a stroll through the Gothic Quarter, sunbathing at a sandy beach, admiring Gaudi’s masterpieces, and enjoying the late-night eats. Go to Girona, Costa Brava, and Andorra, since they all make great day trips from Barcelona.

The capital Madrid is also an amazing city and deserves the same attention just like Barcelona. It’s sophisticated, lively, and full of culture. Check out the Royal Palace, El Retiro Park, and the Prado, one of the best art museums in the world!

In the south, the ancient city Granada is the perfect place for history and architecture. You should visit the Alhambra Palace, watch a Flamenco show, and go hiking in the Sierra Nevada. The university town of Seville is another great destination to see some of the most beautiful architecture in Spain and have wonderful food.

You will find the best beaches in Costa del Sol for a relaxing holiday. While Malaga is a popular place to stay, you can explore much better towns down the coast. On the east coast, go to Valencia, which is a famous city for its paella.

If you happen to be traveling around Valencia at the end of August, join the famous festival La Tomatina in nearby town Buñol, where thousands of people throw tomatoes at each other.

Make sure to check out the Balearic Islands in Spain. They are possibly the most beautiful islands in Europe. Whether you go to Mallorca, Menorca, Formentera, or Ibiza, you’ll have it all from picture-perfect beaches to crazy nightlife.
