An undiscovered destination and a hidden gem, Romania is a fantastic country in Europe. While the country attracts most visitors for its Dracula legend, it actually offers much more than that. With picturesque villages and beautiful cities, there is no doubt visiting Romania will fulfill your expectations in many ways.
Visiting the charming city of Bucharest should be on top of your list when traveling to Romania. You can wander around the Old Town, visit the Palace of the Parliament, explore Romanian Athenaeum, and see the Patriarchal Cathedral. Brașov is another great city in Romania, located in the famous Transylvania region. If you are into Dracula madness, then head to Sighișoara. It’s a well-preserved, beautiful town, where you can go on a hunt for Dracula. You should climb the clock tower to get amazing views of the city.
Nature lovers will love hiking the Făgăraș Mountains in Romania. You can have a multi-day trip through the mountains and see three of the highest peaks in the country.
On the other hand, if you go to the southeastern part of Romania, you can see the wildlife along with beautiful lakes. While you are in the area, make sure to visit Constanta, a small city near the Black Sea.
