Portugal

With perfect weather and excellent beaches, visiting Portugal has always been a blast for tourists. This fantastic country offers a ton of different things to do, such as surfing, city escapes, and near-tropical experiences thanks to its diversity.

Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, is a city to fall in love with. Lisbon is not only amazing for its beauty, architecture, and history, but it’s also more enjoyable thanks to the local people and wonderful food. Some of the best attractions in Lisbon are visiting the Castle of St. George, exploring the churches, riding the iconic tram, and seeing the Belem Tower.

Évora and Batalha make great day trips from Lisbon. While Batalha is one of the best Gothic landmarks in Europe, the small town of Évora has many historic buildings that are worth visiting, such as the Temple of Diana. Another great place to check out is Sintra for its palaces and museums.

Porto, Portugal’s second-largest city, deserves a visit as well. Walking through the narrow alleys and taking the steep stairs is a fun way to explore this colorful city. Make sure to take a trip to Douro Valley and try the famous Port wine in Portugal.

Make your way to the Algarve region in the south of Portugal to enjoy the beautiful coastline. Between Lagos and Faro, you will find many great beaches, delicious food, excellent restaurants, crazy nightlife, and wonderful places to stay.

Go off the beaten path and explore the Azores in Portugal, also known as the “Hawaii of Europe”. The islands are located in the Atlantic Ocean and perfect for experiencing pure nature.

You can hike Mount Pico, relax at one of the many beaches, and go whale watching in the Azores. Don’t miss visiting São Miguel Island in the Azores where the landscape is breathtaking.
