Kenya

A dreamy African destination, Kenya is a bucket list item for a good reason. From epic wildlife encounters to a beautiful coastline, traveling to Kenya makes it an unforgettable adventure. It is also one of the best countries to go on a safari in Africa.

Bordering Tanzania, Maasai Mara National Reserve is the most famous safari park in the world without a doubt. It is home to the world-famous Great Migration which millions of animals travel to and from the Serengeti between July and October.

Another popular park in Kenya, Amboseli National Reserve is the place to spot herds of elephants and other animals such as lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, impalas, zebras, and over 400 species of birds. This park is also quite picturesque thanks to the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

Tsavo National Park is the largest park in Kenya which is divided into two parts as Tsavo West and Tsavo East. These parks are worth exploring as they have a large diversity of wildlife and landscape.

Some of the main highlights of Tsavo are elephants bathing in red dust, Galana River, Yatta Plateau, Lugard Falls, Mzima Springs, and Chaimu Crater.

Wildlife encounters are truly endless wherever you go in Kenya. You can spot the pink flamingos at Lake Nakuru, see hippos and hundreds of bird species at Lake Naivasha, and have an independent safari at Hell’s Gate National Park.

Take a trip to Lamu Island for some quiet, relaxing time. The town itself is quite charming with its architecture and perfect for sightseeing. Continue exploring the coastline in Kenya, visit Malindi, and enjoy the white sands of Watamu Beach.

Spend a few days wandering around in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Don’t miss visiting the Nairobi National Museum, Karen Blixen Museum, and Nairobi National Park during your time in the city.
