Hungary

From the beautiful city of Budapest to charming villages in the countryside, Hungary has one of the most beautiful sceneries in Europe. Rich in history, traveling to Hungary is easy and affordable with so many things to do and see.

The capital Budapest is the most visited place in Hungary for a good reason. The city is quite beautiful, offering a perfect mix of history and architecture. Not to mention the delicious Hungarian cuisine.

Some of the best places to see in Budapest include Buda Castle, Parliament Building, Danube River, and Heroes’ Square. Make sure to check out Szechenyi Baths, shop at Great Market Hall, hang out at ruin pubs, and hike the Buda Hills in Budapest.

While most people only visit Budapest in Hungary, the country offers much more than just one city. Lake Hévíz, the largest thermal lake in the world, makes it a perfect trip to have some downtime.

On the other hand, Lake Balaton is a popular attraction in Hungary. The area is definitely worth exploring with the villages and hills that surround the lake. Go to Tihany and see the Benedictine Abbey. No wonder this place has the most stunning scenery in the country.

With more than 1,000 hot springs in Hungary, you can find great spas around the country, including cave spas. Some of the most popular ones are Szeleta Cave, Petofi Cave, István Cave, and Miskolctapolca Cave Bath.

You can get off the beaten path and explore Hortobágy National Park in the eastern part of the country. It is a large, protected grassland where you can spot the diverse animal life.

Continue to Sárospatak and explore the beautiful Tarn of Megyer-hegy nature preserve. If you are into bird watching, Hungary is the place for it. Best spots for bird watching include Hortobágy, Kiskunság, and Bükk.
