Many people travel to Germany to drink some of the best beers in the world and visit one major city, but this country is much more than good beer and city sightseeing. Germany has a lot to offer from charming rural towns to diverse art and music scenes to fascinating castles.

Getting around in Germany is super easy and efficient thanks to its trains. While there are trams and buses available in cities, you can choose to grab a bicycle and ride around town. Another great thing about this country is that it can be budget-friendly when it comes to food and transportation.

Germany’s capital Berlin is the most visited city in the country and it’s for a good reason. There are so many things to see and do in Berlin, such as visiting the East Side Open-Air Galley, hanging out in Potsdamer Platz, seeing the Brandenburg Gate, and eating currywurst on the streets.

Hamburg comes as a strong rival to the capital. The city is cool, hip, artsy, musical, and much cheaper. Hamburg has more canals than Venice and Amsterdam combined and there are a lot of places to see there.

You can continue city hopping and visit the stunning historical cathedral in Cologne, have the best ciders in Frankfurt, and see Germany’s prettiest city Nuremberg. Famously known for its Oktoberfest, Munich is another great city to explore and have day trips to Bavarian towns.

Explore the Lake Constance area located near the Swiss and Austrian border and hang out in Konstanz. Spend some time hiking in nature in the Black Forest, Harz, and Berchtesgaden National Parks.

As a popular tourist attraction, Romantic Road in Germany is an amazing route to discover picturesque towns and captivating castles in the county. Make sure to check out Neuschwanstein Castle, it’s majestic!
