France is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, as well as the world. Having diverse geography, one day you could be enjoying the warm weather on French Riviera, the next day skiing in the French Alps, or relaxing along the Atlantic beaches.
People from all over the world travel to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, visit the Louvre Museum, walk the Champs Elysees, and of course, try the best wine, cheese, and pastry on the globe.
While visiting Paris is a major tourist attraction in France, it can be disappointing to some people due to high expectations of beauty. However, that doesn’t stop Paris from being popular. It still deserves to be called the City of Love.
To see more of France, do some day trips from Paris. You can visit the Palace of Versailles and learn about French history. See the island of Mont Saint-Michel. Tour the Normandy D-Day landing beaches and battlefields. Go to the pretty village of Giverny by the Seine River.
Travel further and try some of the best wines in the world in Bordeaux or step into the picture-perfect towns of Strasbourg and Colmar, where the French and German cultures are combined together.
Down in the south, Provence is possibly the most picturesque and charming area in France that shouldn’t be missed. Visit Nimes for the Roman theaters, Gordes for the magical village atmosphere, and Avignon for the medieval landmarks.
Head to Côte d’Azur and start driving from Marseille to Menton. The Mediterranean coastline and the beaches are stunning, and the French cuisine is amazing as always. You can see the rich and fancy life in St. Tropez, stop by at world-famous Cannes, and enjoy a laid-back holiday in Nice and nearby spots. The entire coast is shining and you will never want to leave here!
