Located north of Cuba, the Bahamas is a popular holiday destination with over 700 islands. The country is famously known for its crystal clear turquoise waters, infinite white sand beaches, luxury resorts, and water sports.
The best thing you can do in the Bahamas is just to relax on a beach and sip your cocktail. Some of the best beaches include Cable Beach, Cabbage Beach, Jaw’s Beach on Nassau, Pink Sands Beach on Harbour Island, Tropic of Cancer Beach on Little Exuma, and Starfish Beach on Stocking Island. Since the water is pretty shallow and perfectly clear, snorkeling is one of the most common things to do in the Bahamas.
Lucayan National Park in Grand Bahamas is a great place to visit. The park has one of the largest underwater caves in the world. Make sure to see Ben’s Cave and Burial Mound Cave. Hike through the pine forest, kayak the Gold Rock Creek, and swim at Gold Rock Beach.
The Bahamas is rich in marine life. Scuba divers can explore Andros Barrier Reef, which is the third-largest barrier reef in the world. You can also go snorkeling here.
Swimming with the pigs in Exuma has become a popular tourist attraction in recent years. It’s unknown how the pigs got there since the island is uninhabited. Kayaking the Exuma Cays is another activity you can do there.
There are so many different activities you can do in Nassau, Bahamas. Go to Ardastra Gardens and Zoo to see the flamingos. Visit the Pirates of Nassau Museum. Explore Atlantis Bahamas and have fun at its water park.
Take a break from the beach life and learn about Bahamian history in Nassau Island. Climb the Queen’s staircase, visit Versailles Gardens and French Cloister, and explore the historic sites of Fort Charlotte.
