Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines. It is known for its resorts and beaches. Along the west coast is the white beach which is backed by palm trees, bars, and restaurants. Beaches in Boracay
There are several beaches in Boracay. The island is small but it has seventeen beaches that take different shapes and sizes. Let’s talk about the famous white beach which is four kilometers. It has three sub-areas each according to its atmospheric condition. It occupies half of the Islands west coast. It offers stunning sunset views. There are also smaller beaches like Ilig-Iligan and Tambissan beaches. There are various activities you can do on these beaches. These activities include; surfing, kiteboarding, and snorkeling. You can also decide to relax on the awesome sans and get a beautiful tan.
Another beautiful beach is the Balinghai beach. It is a small cove located in the north of Diniwid and south of Punta Bunga. It is on the west of Boracay Island. It is a very private place for anyone who may need some alone time. Balinghai is shaded by tropical trees and dotted by big stones. If you are looking for a place away from hustle and bustle of the white beach this is the place.
On the western side of the Buranga is Ariel’s point. It is a one-day trip destination. It is in a lush environment. This eco-adventure and seaside resort offers thrilling activities. The thrilling activities are like cliff diving, kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. In this place, you meet several travelers who are attracted to water sports and day trips. The place is mostly visited by young people due to the drinks offered and activities like cliff diving. There also boats in this place which goes forth and from till evening.
The largest Island in the Philippines is Punay Island. The island is the landing point for all the visitors visiting Boracay. This is because it hosts two airports Kalibo and Caticlan. The place is also a popular day-tripping destination.
For those who love traditions and cultural adventures, you should visit the Montag Living Museum. It is located in Caticlan at the northern tip of Panay Island. The place lets you discover all cultural heritages in the Philippines. It contains traditional farming, craft weaving, native cooking methods, and introduction to Malayanon folk songs. You will also find testimonies to the ancestral way of life of the Philippines people in this area.
Nature-lovers should visit Mount Luho. It is located in the north of Bulabog beach on the eastern side of Boracay. It is the highest point of Boracay Island. The two view decks at the top of Mount Luho can easily be reached via the cement staircases. Along the way to the summit, you can observe birds, monkeys, and the Filipino version of the Tasmanian devil. In the view from the mountain, you can see the beaches of Bulabog, Illig-Iligan, and Lapuz-Lapuz.
On the southern side of Boracay Island is the Crocodile Island. The island is not far from Tambisaan bay. The island is named according to its shape. It resembles a large saurian reptile floating on the crystal clear waters of the bay. The water in this place is a habitat for many marine lives. The different species are the corals, school of fish, nudibranchs, scorpionfish, and many more. All the marine lives are observable through the clear waters. Activities you can do in this place are activities like diving and snorkeling. The place is the best spot for scuba divers.
Willy Rocks are the best destination for photographers. The rock was named after Willy’s beach which is located nearby. It’s a rocky outcrop that forms a tidal Island with the statue of the Virgin Mary on the top of steps that are carved into the volcanic rocks. The place has a great resemblance to the Catholics. The place gets crowded so many times due to its regular visitors. Another place in Boracay which has some religious background is our lady of the holiest rosary catholic church. It is a well-kept church that attracts many people. The church is the most relaxing place when you visit the island. This is because of its peaceful atmosphere.
Crystal cove Island
A visit to Crystal cove Island is worth some time in your schedule. The place is a popular point for island hoppers. It offers a wide range of activities such as trekking ad cave exploration, sunbathing and snorkeling, pigeon feeding, and kayaking. The well preserved natural environment and the resort also houses a museum and an aviary as an alternative for those who love beaches. The main draw in this place is the two coves. The area also offers a picturesque view. It is perfect for a picnic and relaxing. The caves are adventurers for the explorers. You can get to the Island by boat from Boracay or Caticlan.
Boracay Oceanarium is another adventurous place to visit. It consists of two sections; the discovery tunnel and the ocean bar. The former is a giant aquarium that houses a wide range of marine lives. This includes; sharks which can be watched in a manmade fiberglass tunnel for safety reasons. The latter is a lounge and a restaurant with aquarium pillars and displays. The most interesting exhibit is the mermaid show. It happens twice a day between eleven in the morning to four in the evening. A couple of mermaids and merman impresses a variety of tricks in the tank. They flip to blowing kisses, which is so interesting to watch. There are also some other activities like Aquarium ocean walk and aquarium scuba diving.
As you summarize your tour you may want to go and learn the mermaid swimming. This is unusual activity in Boracay. There is an island that is home to the Philippines mermaid swimming academy where you can learn how to swim like a mermaid. They provide mermaid attires and it’s amusing to be in this place.
